1. Scope and contractual partners
(1) Lidhaze is a macOS app developed and published by KInnovativ (sole proprietorship in formation, Thomas Nenad Leibel), Bar, Montenegro (“we”, “licensor”).
(2) Purchase: Licences are sold exclusively by our online reseller Lemon Squeezy (Link, LLC (formerly Lemon Squeezy, LLC), 222 Main Street, Suite 500, Salt Lake City, UT 84101, USA) as Merchant of Record. The purchase contract is concluded between you and Lemon Squeezy under Lemon Squeezy’s terms. Lemon Squeezy handles payment, invoicing and VAT.
(3) Use: These terms govern the use of the software Lidhaze – the free trial and the licence you acquire – between you and KInnovativ (licence terms). They also contain our voluntary money-back guarantee.
(4) Conflicting terms of the customer do not apply.
2. What Lidhaze does
(1) Lidhaze reads the lid angle sensor of your MacBook and blurs the screen softly as you close the lid, then fades it to a colour of your choice. The functions are described on this website and in the manual.
(2) Requirements: macOS 14 Sonoma or newer and a MacBook with a readable lid angle sensor (MacBook Pro 14"/16" from 2021, MacBook Air from M2). Please check your model on the compatibility page and during the free trial before buying.
(3) For security reasons macOS does not allow any app to draw on top of the lock screen. If your Mac is locked when you open the lid, the effect is therefore not visible when opening. This is not a defect.
(4) The app interface is available in German and English.
3. Free trial
You can use Lidhaze free of charge with all functions for 7 days, without an account and without payment details. After that the effect and sound pause until you activate a licence. The trial ends automatically; nothing is renewed and nothing is charged.
4. Purchase and price
The regular price is €4.99 as a one-time purchase. Until December 31, 2026, 11:59 pm (Berlin time) a launch price of €1.99 applies; after that the regular price applies automatically.
All prices are final prices including statutory VAT. There is no subscription. After payment you will receive your licence key by email from Lemon Squeezy.
5. Licence (rights of use)
(1) Upon full payment you receive a simple (non-exclusive), perpetual right to use Lidhaze for your own purposes. One licence may be activated on up to 2 Macs at the same time.
(2) You may transfer the licence to a third party only as a whole and only if you permanently stop using it yourself (deactivate it on all your Macs). Renting out the software or sharing the licence key publicly is not permitted.
(3) You may not circumvent the licence check, remove copyright notices or modify, decompile or reverse-engineer the software, except where mandatory law permits this (in particular § 69d and § 69e of the German Copyright Act).
(4) Tester keys we issue free of charge are personal, may be limited in time and are not transferable.
6. Activation and licence check
To activate, the app connects to Lemon Squeezy’s licence server. It checks the licence again at most every 7 days. If there is no internet connection, the app continues to work for 30 days after the last successful check. You can move a licence to another Mac at any time: Settings → Lizenz → “Auf diesem Mac deaktivieren”. Details on data processing are in our privacy policy.
7. Updates
We provide updates that are necessary to keep the software in conformity with the contract (e.g. security updates or bug fixes) free of charge on this website for the version purchased. There is no entitlement to new functions.
8. 14-day money-back guarantee
If you are not satisfied, you will receive the full purchase price back within 14 days of purchase, without giving reasons. Simply write to kontakt@lidhaze.com or reply to the Lemon Squeezy order confirmation. The refund is made via Lemon Squeezy; the licence is then deactivated. This guarantee is voluntary and applies in addition to your statutory rights (in particular the right of withdrawal and warranty rights).
9. Warranty
The statutory warranty rights apply. For defects of the purchased licence your contractual partner is Lemon Squeezy; we support you directly and remedy software defects ourselves. Just contact us.
10. Liability
(1) We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act and to the extent of a guarantee given.
(2) In the case of slight negligence we are only liable for breach of essential contractual obligations (obligations whose fulfilment makes proper performance possible and on which you may regularly rely), limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract.
(3) For the free trial and free tester keys we are only liable for intent and gross negligence, except in the cases listed in (1).
11. Right of withdrawal
Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal. As Lemon Squeezy is the seller, the withdrawal is directed at Lemon Squeezy. For your convenience you can also send it to us – we will forward it immediately and take care of the refund.
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract is concluded.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Link, LLC (formerly Lemon Squeezy, LLC), 222 Main Street, Suite 500, Salt Lake City, UT 84101, USA; alternatively via our contact: KInnovativ (Thomas Nenad Leibel), Bar, Montenegro, email: kontakt@lidhaze.com) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but this is not mandatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your notice of exercising the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Consequences of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we are informed of your withdrawal. We will use the same means of payment you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise; in no event will you be charged any fees for this reimbursement.
Early expiry of the right of withdrawal for digital content
For a contract for the supply of digital content not on a tangible medium (here: the licence key for Lidhaze), the right of withdrawal expires once performance of the contract has begun, after you have (1) expressly consented to the performance beginning before the end of the withdrawal period, (2) acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, and (3) received a confirmation of the contract (§ 356 (5) BGB).
Regardless of this, our voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee (section 8) applies.

13. Final provisions
(1) The statutory law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. As a consumer you always keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you have your habitual residence.
(3) We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
(4) Should individual provisions be invalid, the remaining provisions remain unaffected.
(5) The German version of these terms is authoritative; this English version is a courtesy translation.
